Global hopes to inch closer towards earning a spot in the knockout stage overseas while Ceres-Negros fights for dear life at home as they resume their respective campaigns tonight in the AFC Cup.

Coming off a stunning 3-2 home victory over Johor Darul Ta’zim two weeks ago, Global tries to tighten its grip on the Group F lead against Magwe at 5 p.m. (Philippine time) at the Youth Training Center in Yangon, Myanmar.

Ceres, on the other hand, eyes a much-needed win against Vietnamese side Hanoi at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City and atone for its 3-0 defeat to Felda United last April 4 in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

Global is in a good position to earn a place in the ASEAN zone semifinals of Asia’s second-tier football competition after pulling off an unexpected win over JDT, the AFC Cup winner in 2015 and one of Malaysia’s premier clubs.
