Cocolife is raising the bar higher when it enters its sophomore year with the Philippine Superliga in February.
The Asset Managers are eyeing no less than the title this time after an impressive maiden season that saw them finish as high as fourth place in the three-conference volleyball club league.
Part of their beefing-up process is to hire a veteran mentor in Serbian Moro Branislav, who sealed a two-year deal with the management in hopes of making them as one of the strong title contenders.
The 60-year old tactician led Foton to its second Grand Prix title in 2016, before turning down an extension offer after the Tornadoes settled for bronze in 2017.
Apart from getting Branislav, Cocolife is also tapping the services of hard-hitting Serbian spiker Sara Klisura in the upcoming Grand Prix Conference in February.
Klisura is most notable for settling the league’s high scoring record of 41 points when she suited up for Foton last conference.
Cocolife finished fifth in its debut appearance in the Invitational Conference, maintaining its finish in the All-Filipino. It capped off its season with a semifinal finish in the Grand Prix.
