Manny Pacquiao revealed to the media on Wednesday the secret to Lucas Matthysse’s downfall.
And it’s pretty basic.
“I am just going to throw my left and my right (hand),” Pacquiao said during an open workout just days before he attempts to knock the World Boxing Association welterweight crown off Lucas Matthysse’s head at the Axiata Arena.
Before mediamen at a makeshift gym at the Le Meridien, Pacquiao didn’t hold back in banging the mitts of lead trainer Buboy Fernandez, who was soaked in sweat when he exited the ring.
Pacquiao is fighting for the first time in over a year and strength coach Justin Fortune said the key to negating that layoff was to let the eight-division champion undergo a lot of plyometric exercises during training camp.
Matthysse, who appeared before the media hours before Pacquiao did, just went through the motions during his open training session.
It didn’t take long before Matthysse wrapped it up as his handlers appeared and sounded irritated.
Pacquiao is slightly favored to overcome Matthysse.
