Che’Lu Bar and Grill seeks to get back on track and clinch the first semifinals seat against also-ran AMA Online Education today at the resumption of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup action at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Tipoff is at 1 p.m., with the Revellers determined to regain their winning form after absorbing a 91-83 defeat to Marinerong Pilipino last Monday that put an end to their five-game winning streak and denied them quick passage to the next round.

Meanwhile, Centro Escolar University and resurgent Batangas-EAC tangle in the opener at 11 a.m. in what could be a decisive encounter for a playoff spot.

Currently tied from fourth and fifth spots with similar 3-3 records, both the Scorpions and the Generals are expected to give their all, with the winner earning the right to join the idle Skippers (4-3) at third while getting an inside track for a semis berth.

Momentum should be on the side of Batangas-EAC which has won its last two matches. The Generals should also have a psychological edge after they defeated the Scorpions 96-90 back in the first round.

But that doesn’t mean CEU should be taken lightly. “It’s really hard to say what more we could do since the teams above us are really strong. I’m quite sure that they will really make some adjustments when they go up against us,” said Batangas-EAC coach Oliver Bunyi.

Former San Miguel Beer practice player Michael Mabulac has been providing the inside presence for the Generals, complementing the outside sniping led by star playmaker Cedric de Joya and gunner Clark Bautista.

Out to foil them are the Scorpions, bannered by veterans Orlan Wamar, Rich Guinitaran and Cameroon big man Gilles Oloume.
