Lyceum rallied from seven points down to defeat Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC), 25-17, 25-18, 27-25, on Thursday in NCAA women’s volleyball at The Arena in San Juan City.
Rocelyn Hongria and Bien Juanillo stepped up in the crunch to give the Lady Pirates their third win against five losses and remain at seventh place with only one assignment left in the eliminations.
Lyceum still has a shot at a Final Four slot provided San Sebastian loses to early semifinalist College of St. Benilde in their ongoing match. The Lady Stags are at fourth with a 4-3 card.
Hongria paced the Lady Pirates with 17 points including 13 kills while Juanillo added 10 points.
In men’s play, Lyceum leaned on solid blocking to survive Emilio Aguinaldo College, 21-25, 25-21, 25-20, 16-25, 15-11.
