Jimuel Pacquiao, the eldest son of Manny Pacquiao, boxed Lucas Carson in an amateur-style fight Saturday afternoon in Alabang.
Jimuel, 18, had the intensity of his revered father as he threw whopping overhand rights at Carson, who was forced to back-pedal most of the time to avoid getting rocked.
Still, the right-handed Jimuel looked too tight in his ‘debut’ probably because he wanted to please the crowd that gathered around to see him strut his stuff.
The fight lasted two rounds as the two young punchers looked already weary after a fast and furious first round.
In the end, the fight was declared a draw.
Manny was not around to coach or even cheer but he talked with his son on video call just before the match took place.
To prepare for the fight, Jimuel trained under former world champion Rodel Mayol at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles last year.
