United Volleyball (UV) Club looks to keep the momentum going as it collides with Generika-Ayala in the second round of the Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

Last Tuesday, Filipino-Hawaiian star Kalei Mau and import Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani dropped 19 points apiece to lead UVC to a 14-25, 25-21, 25-21, 26-24 victory over Cignal HD which absorbed its third straight defeat.

Cignal HD took the opening set but Erica Wilson’s 29-point explosion wasn’t enough as they ran out of gas at crunch time.

Down 21-23 in the fourth, UVC completed the comeback after Bedart-Ghani iced the game with a powerful spike.

Cignal seeks redemption at 4:15 p.m. as it takes on bottom-dwelling Foton Blue Energy Tornadoes, who had lost eight straight after a victorious season opener.

Meanwhile, the PLDT Power Hitters look to recover against the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors after getting swept by defending champs Petron the last time.
