Metro League: Caloocan surprises tourney favorite Manila

Caloocan banked on a hot first half to romp past Manila, 120-102, on opening day of the Metro League Reinforced Conference held at the San Juan Gymnasium.

The Supremos erupted for 69 points in the first half, 37 coming in the very first quarter, and opened a 31-point lead.

Johnnel Bauzon led four Caloocan players with at least 20 points, dropping 24 markers to go with 14 rebounds and four assists.

McArthur Enriquez buried seven triples for all but two of his 23 markers with two rebounds and two assists.

Kris Torrado made 8-of-9 from the field and got 22 points, 13 assists, five rebounds, and one steal.

Joseph Brutas tallied 21 markers, four rebounds, five dimes, and two steals.

Carlo Lastimosa dropped 32 points with four rebounds, one assist, and two steals for Manila.
