Bacoor Strike preserved a first quarter pummeling of Quezon City and won, 83-81, in the Metro League Reinforced Conference held at the Niagara Industrial Equipment Corporation Gym in Caloocan on Tuesday.
The Strike limited the Junior Capitals to just nine points in the first 10 minutes.
QC, however, slowly sneaked into Bacoor’s lead and had a chance to force overtime as Ibrahim Outtara rebounded the ball off a three-point miss from Pao Castro.
The Junior Capitals were unable to put up an attempt before the final horn with the Strike employing tight defense.
Castro and King Descamento each scored 15 points for Bacoor.
Roque Estoce made 18 markers, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals for QC.
