Team Philippines Chef de Mission and Philippine Sports Commission Chairman William Ramirez yesterday discussed with some 150 national coaches their concerns and needs for the upcoming 30th Southeast Asian Games at PhilSports Complex, Pasig.
Ramirez, on his part, told the coaches 58 sports to conduct assessment and evaluation of the level of preparations of Team Philippines for the SEA Games.
“If we are united, we can produce miracle in the Southeast Asian Games,” said Ramirez reiterating his call for unity in sports.
“The greatest job of a coach is to inspire the champion in an athlete,” he added.
National coaches were also clustered into groups facilitated by Ramirez together with PSC Commissioners Arnold Agustin, Ramon Fernandez, Celia Kiram Charles Maxey and Chief of Staff Marc Velasco.
The consultation with the coaches was the offshoot of the successful first delegation meeting with various national sports associations.
