Bacoor took Game 1 of the Metro League Reinforced Conference Finals after downing Caloocan, 78-72, at the STRIKE Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
The Strike sizzled on both ends of the court in the first half, quickly opening a 42-20 lead with 4:14 left in the half.
The Supremos still put up a comeback, cutting the lead down to just four, 76-72, with 1:05 remaining in the game, but they were held scoreless from there even as Eric Acuña scored two free throws for the icing on the cake.
Mark Pangilinan scored 15 points, grabbed two rebounds, and dished out three assists for Bacoor, which moved to within a win from completing a perfect conference.
Prince Orizu added 13 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal, while King Descamento chipped in 12 markers, 11 boards, and two swats.
Joseph Brutas tallied 16 points, five rebounds, and one steal for Caloocan.
