The new royalties of Philippine mountain biking have been crowned in the recently concluded Timberland Heights King of the Mountain at Filinvest’s 677-hectare townscape, Timberland Heights.
Positioned as the metro’s prime eco-playground, Timberland Heights is also known as the “mountain biking capital” of the Philippines.
Veronica Maglapuz was crowned “Queen of the Mountain” with a record time of 1 hour 56 minutes and 06 seconds, awhile Alvin Benosa was hailed “King of the Mountain” at 1 hour 22 minutes and 14 seconds.
“The trails are amazing! It was very challenging but I came prepared and I gave my best. I am proud to be this year’s Queen of the Mountain,” said Maglapuz.
“It feels really great to be the Timberland King of the Mountain this year. It was a difficult trail but a very good one too, very challenging. It pushed everyone to the limit,” Benosa said.
“We are glad that the number of participants is increasing annually. We are also proud of the positive feedback that we hear from bikers,” said Francis V. Ceballos, Filinvest senior vice president and North East Cluster head.
