Game Sunday (PFF National Training Center, Carmona)
3:30 p.m. — Global vs Green Archers
New leader Ceres-Negros shoots for its sixth straight victory when it battles lowly Air Force on Saturday in the Philippines Football League at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
Buoyed by Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over erstwhile leader Kaya-Iloilo, the defending two-time champions are aiming to keep their hold on top spot in the match set at 3:30 p.m.
Spanish striker Bienvenido Maranon and Stephan Schrock will lead the attack for the Busmen, who rolled to a 5-0 win over the Airmen in their first meeting last May 29 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Kaya tries to rebound from its disappointing setback to Ceres when it visits Stallion-Laguna in a similar kickoff time at the Binan Football Stadium.
Ghanian talisman Jordan Mintah, Jovin Bedic and Darryl Roberts are hoping to put Kaya back in winning form after that aforementioned loss to Ceres and a scoreless draw opposite Green Archers United over the weekend.
The winner of last year’s Copa Paulino Alcantara defeated Stallion, 2-0, also last May 29 in Binan.
Green Archers aims to climb in third place against Global-Makati on Sunday at the National Training Center. Match will also start at 3:30 p.m.
