The NCAA has postponed all three games in men’s basketball Friday set at The Arena in San Juan after the suspension of classes in all levels in Metro Manila due to heavy rainfall and flooding.

NCAA Management Committee (MANCOM) chairman Peter Cayco of host school Arellano University made the announcement, which also included one junior’s match in the evening.

“Tickets for canceled games today shall be honored on the rescheduled date,” he added.

The four-peat seeking San Beda University was to face College of St. Benilde in a battle between two unbeaten teams currently tied for the lead with 4-0 records at 12 p.m., followed by the 2 p.m. match of University of Perpetual Help System DALTA and San Sebastian College-Recoletos.

Also called off were the seniors and juniors matches of Arellano University and Lyceum of the Philippines University.

The games that pushed through were the juniors encounters of the SBU Red Cubs against the CSB-LSGH Greenies, and the SSC-R Staglets and the UPHSD Altaletes as both games were played in the morning.

RC Calimag fired 30 points while Lennox Valenzuela added 23 points to lead the Greenies to a 99-98 win against the Red Cubs that forced a three-way tie for the lead at 4-1 with LSGH, SBU and Arellano.

In the second game, Eman Galman finished with 23 points in a 67-62 win as Perpetual Help dealt SSC-R its third straight loss after a 2-0 start while the Altaletes improved to 3-3.
