Defending three-time champion San Beda University’s bid for a first round sweep will have to wait after the NCAA Management Committee (MANCOM) postponed the games Tuesday due to bad weather.

Peter Cayco
Peter Cayco, the league’s MANCOM chairman of season host Arellano University, made the announcement after the cancellation of classes in Metro Manila, including in the cities of Manila and San Juan.
“Due to the suspension of classes by Manila and San Juan, the games scheduled for today are cancelled and shall be played on a date and time to be determined later,” said Cayco in a statement, adding that tickets for cancelled games shall be honored on the rescheduled date.
This is the fourth time that the NCAA has called off a playdate because of expected heavy rainfall. Tuesday’s matches were originally set Aug. 6 but was cancelled due to same reason.
San Beda holds a perfect 8-0 record and is gunning for a first round sweep of the NCAA Season 95 versus Mapua, a team that has won its last three games after a 0-5 start, at The Arena in San Juan.
Other games are Letran versus College of St. Benilde, and San Sebastian College-Recoletos against Arellano.
