Creamline battles Pacifictown Army Wednesday, with the Cool Smashers looking for their seventh straight win at 4 p.m. in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.

PetroGazz, meanwhile, sees its fourth win in six matches when it collides with Choco Mucho (2-3) in the 2 p.m. opener while BanKo-Perlas (4-2) and BaliPure (2-3) tangle at 6 p.m.

Focus will be on Creamline after it brought down Choco Mucho, 25-12, 25-22, 19-25, 25-18, with skipper Alyssa Valdez sizzling at the frontline with 25 points including 21 kills.

Offense remains the Cool Smashers’ main weapon as they lead the spiking department behind the excellent play of Valdez, Michele Gumabao and Jema Galanza. They are also expected to bank on their serves after firing 49 aces in their first six matches.

Pacifictown Army, on the other hand, is looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats to PetroGazz and Motolite.

Slated to banner Army’s comeback will be veteran hitters Royse Tubino, Jovelyn Gonzaga and Jem Gutierrez.

Currently leading in the digging department, the Lady Troopers hope to cover the floor with Gonzaga expected to team up with libero Angela Nunag.

Also out to sustain its momentum is BanKo-Perlas, which hopes to stretch its winning streak to three games.

In the other pairing, PetroGazz seeks to follow up its 25-16, 25-20, 25-23 win over Air Force with Cherry Nunag and Jovielyn Prado leading the squad, while Choco Mucho is out to check a two-game slide.
